Our History
Two Harriettes (Ms Cheeky & Rummy) travelling home from 2009 Nash Hash decided Canberra needed a Harriettes Hash. Then in 2000 after a day of drinking champagne at the Canberra Wine & Food Festival a group of Harriettes had a run starting at Regatta Point and ran around Commonwealth Park.
The newly formed Canberra Harriettes had a brilliant idea to do a Hash Act at the next Nash Hash in Darwin 2001. The girls saucy Hash Act involving black plastic, tits and the well-known hit "Some Girls Do", proved too strong for other contenders and were outright winners on the night.
We run at 6.15 pm (unless we change our minds - Harriettes perogative) on the first Thursday of each month at various locations
Since then has become a strong group who is very welcoming of harriettes and hashers.
